The Whistle Blowing Intention in Their Relationship to Moral Reasoning and Retaliation

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of moral reasoning and retaliation toward whistleblowing intention. Respondents of this study are the permanent employees who work at PT. Telkomsel in Riau Province. Samples in this study were taken by using data collection method called purposive sampling. A total of 130 questionnaires were distributed to the respondents and 114 questionnaires were returned for analysis. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 20 software.The results reveal that retaliation has a negative effect on whistleblowing intention. On the other hand, moral reasoning does not affect whistleblowing intention.
