Management and Conservation Considerations in Underground Water Potential in the Tampan District Pekanbaru

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to determine potential underground water distribution and to determine the characteristics of the aquifer in the Tampan District. The method used is the experimental method. The results show that the potential for groundwater is in the area of Cipta Karya because it has First layer that has a small resistivity value of 57.10 ohm meter. Thus, water can easily flow because the underground water there is on the second layer. The area of Cipta Karya also has the greatest resistivity in the layer of 4955.0 ohm meter so the aquifer contained in the fourth layer is no longer absorbed by the soil so that water can flow. The average value of the characteristics of the aquifer in the study area : Transmissivity (m2 / day) and hydraulic conductivity (m / day) to a minimum, maximum, average row are: 9.2; 1.3; 15.3; 2.1; 12.3; 1.7. The biggest potential underground water in areas of Cipta Karya are on the fourth layer with a layer thickness of 101 meters and the smallest one is on the second layer with a layer thickness of 71.30 meters. The potential of the largest underground water are contained in the area of Delima on the fourth layer with a layer thickness of 108 meters and the smallest one is on the second layer with a layer thickness of 86.30 meters. Underground water reserves in the area of Cipta Karya on the first layer is equal to 60408100 m2 and on the second layer is 42.64453  m2. In Delima village, the first layer of underground water reserves is 64.5948  m2 and the second layer is 51.61603  m2.
