Abstract


This study aimed to use comic as a learning media to improve students’ understanding in accounting cycle of Service Company on introductory accounting course. Research methods used in this research is an experiment, which classified as pre-experimental (nondesign) by the method of the one group pretest – posttest design. The results of this study indicated that there are differences in students' understanding of the accounting cycle of service companies before and after the use of comic media. Comic media can improve the students’ understanding on accounting cycle of Service Company and get positive responses from participants in this study. Therefore, comic media can be recommended as one of the alternative media that can be used to improve student understanding about accounting cycle of Service Company in Introduction to Accounting course.
